Matthew Giejda
Matthew Giejda founded UAF to bring production, installation, and job-site accountability under one roof. He began as a finish carpenter, building and installing a wide range of custom work before moving into management. His background also spans Navy aircraft maintenance, commercial facilities operations, high-end property services, multi-site logistics, regulated site work, and public-facility maintenance. The common thread is hands-on craftsmanship and disciplined execution in places where fit, access, schedules, safety, and finished conditions matter.

Matthew believes clear communication is paramount to every successful project. Clients and project partners can reach him directly from planning through final installation—not only at scheduled check-ins. He keeps everyone informed about what is happening, what comes next, and where a decision is needed. He raises concerns early and works through potential problems before they become delays, visible defects, or surprises.

Precision and documented process
In the United States Navy, Matthew served in AIMD—the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department—maintaining aircraft engine systems where tolerances could be smaller than the thickness of a sheet of paper. The work required exact measurement, documented procedures, inspection, and accountability. Separately, years later, he worked as a vendor on a 60-acre radiologically controlled forestry-clearing project governed by strict federal handling procedures. Together, those experiences built the precision, documentation, and compliance habits UAF now applies to artwork preparation, equipment setup, and final installation checks.
Occupied-building coordination
Matthew managed 2,000,000 square feet across a 12-property commercial portfolio that included indoor malls, Class A office buildings, and shopping centers anchored by major grocery stores and national retailers such as Lowe’s. The work required coordinating tenants, vendors, access windows, procurement cycles, and finish standards while the buildings remained active. His public-facility experience added another layer of scheduling and occupancy constraints. That experience directly applies to UAF installations: plan around people and daily operations, protect the space, communicate clearly with everyone involved, and complete the work with minimal disruption.
Crews, schedules, and property care
Following his uncle’s death, Matthew stepped into management of his family’s landscape company, overseeing crews, schedules, client expectations, and property care on high-end residential work. Separately, he managed snow and ice contracts for two hospitals, where overnight response, clear access, and hard deadlines supported facilities that could not stop operating. Those responsibilities taught him to plan ahead, communicate clearly, and take ownership when conditions change—the same approach UAF brings to careful site protection, tight installation windows, and dependable project coordination.
